Hello blog world.  I am a blog virgin and decided at age 47, its time to explore the unknown.  I have a large family, ranging in ages 26 to 13 months.  Yes, you read correctly.  Being a "mommy" the second time around is quite an experience.  I'm hoping to lure others to ask about it, learn from it, and fear it!  My day to day life is quite challenging, as I never know which child will be the crisis carrier, joy bringer, scariest, happiest, or chattiest. Having seven children, every day is full of new and thrilling, (sic) experiences.  I also have an ex-husband who is totally involved in our lives.  He and my present husband are quite good friends.  One would think they were friends before husband #1 and I were!  

I previously worked in the psychiatric field and have quite a range of experiences from that time period.  Living in the New Orleans area, I also lived through and survived Katrina.  At the time, I was working in a mental ward...during Katrina and for the next 5 days following the storm.  It was quite a life changing experience.  Also life changing, has been adopting my precious baby when she was only 7 months old.  She was with us since birth, but of course the legal system takes a while!  I have a daughter who married and divorced all within a year and a half, who is currently completing her master's degree; which proves there is life after divorce. 

I guess this is more than enough to get started and let you see what I am about.  I love sharing life experiences, good and bad, learning from others and laughing at my mistakes.  Feel free to join my blog and we can learn something together.
